This page is dedicated to Curtis Dickinson who went to sleep in Christ in 2005. The Plains Christian Church, Lubbock, Texas, was home to Curtis for many years, and the place where he had his newsletter, titled THE WITNESS, printed and distributed from when he moved there from Kansas. The Witness (not related to the Jehovah Witness sect), was widely read across America, Mexico, and even nations overseas. El Testigo is the name of the Spanish language edition of The Witness, which was printed and distributed in Mexico and Spanish language countries by Moises Saucedo, who preached In San Luis Potosi.
Anyone who reads his writing cannot help but learn something of importance to their faith, and, I would dare to say, things that they may have never considered in their study of the Scriptures. Curtis' exegesis is excellent and gets right to the point on the Biblical teachings he discusses. One can rightly call Curtis a Resurrection Preacher, for almost all of his articles are centered around the Gospel that Jesus preached and taught His apostles to preach - the resurrection of the dead, which results in believers being renewed in the image of God, receiving life and immortality which Jesus revealed in His preaching.
Curtis was a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Resurrection magazine for many years, and a contributing writer of the articles appearing within it - which is no longer being published (sadly, I must say). Resurrection magazine was published by the Pastor's Library Foundation for the Resurrection Fellowship in America and the United Kingdom. I quote: These Fellowships are part of an international movement of Christians within the evangelical community who believe that immortality is inherent in God alone. As Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. Believers, now being mortal by nature, receive immortality from Jesus Christ as a gift conferred at the resurrection of the last day.
Many of Curtis' readers have written to him over the years, saying such things as: In a world of watered down and compromising so-called Christianity, your publication comes like a breath of fresh air in a dungeon.; I'd like to compliment you on the economy of your publication. I just can't for the life of me think of another example of so much in so little space. I enjoy your paper very much; it has brought me much comfort and knowledge.
